1. Measure your pet lying stretched out, from the nose to the base of the tail.

2. Compare it with the size of the bed, given in centimetres on this page. Where a sleeping area is given, compare with that: it is the space inside the rim.

3. Check the weight where a size lists the weight it suits.

Between two sizes? Take the larger one if your pet likes to stretch out, the smaller one if it sleeps curled up.

Small dog beds with raised sides, 17 designs

These small dog beds share one shape, a rectangle with padded sides all the way round and a soft plush floor, in 17 designs. There's Oxford cloth with a white paw in orange, red, brown, blue, black or grey; plush with a bone-shaped cushion in pink, black, blue or brown; corduroy in red or grey; a brown check; and printed canvas in brown, pink or grey, plus a burgundy bed marked PET. Five outer sizes run from XS at 40 x 30 cm to XL at 76 x 56 cm.

Size and care

XS suits pets up to 1 kg and XL pets up to 20 kg, measured on the outside. It's a hand wash bed, so keep it out of the machine.
